It might seem silly to you, but I am extremely grateful for my 27 followers, considering I expected three or four at the most. Maybe i am interesting after all muaha.
I wish you all a wonderful day
Typical London weather. You wake up in the morning and the sun is beaming down, by the time you get to work or school, its raining cats and dogs. My only question and concern is.. How should I dress today?
It’s never clear to me, since I can’t wear a short sleeved shirt, because it may rain later, and I can’t wear a thick jumper and trench coat, because the sun may or may not decide to join us later. There isn’t much we can do about this issue, unless you know something you’re not telling me? The only thing we can do is check the weather report the night before, and curse at it the next day for lying to us.
So although the sun is peaking through more consistently these last few weeks, I want to talk about CROP TOPS!!
I absolutely love them, to be more precise, I love cropped jumpers, they are so simple and stylish. I have a bit of an obsession with collars (white laced to be exact) on jumpers lately, and I recently picked up a white cropped jumper with a white and blue polka dot collar from our beloved Primark.
Not only are cropped jumpers stylish, they are comfortable too, and when it comes to fashion, my number one priority is comfort, although some would disagree and go out of their comfort zone to look good.
So what is your weakness in fashion?
We all know the rules of ‘stranger danger’ guys, it’s important to remember our ‘skills’ and ‘knowledge’ (that we have been taught about many times from parents and elders) when it comes to talking to people we don’t know. There are many people in the world that can and have been affected by even small things, that happen concerning strangers and people in the street.
Most of the ‘strangers’ are genuinely harmless, as they try to get your attention with a whistle or big grin, but we must remember to always take caution. Don’t talk to strangers unnecessarily as you can attract attention that you may, later, come to regret.
Despite this, whether we talk back or choose to ignore whilst walking away as fast as we can (personal experience), it sometimes has a way of making our day. So to the guy (wherever you may be) who greeted me with a polite ‘Good Afternoon Miss’ today, thank you 🙂 and no I wasn’t being rude, I just know that we don’t live in the ‘Old London’ type of era anymore.
Please remind our younger generation, our little sisters and brothers, our nieces and nephews, and family the importance of staying street smart and the dangers that can occur.
Good day to everyone,
So I’ve been looking at the BBC news website a little bit today and want to say a few things.
Firstly I am deeply regretful and apologetic to the families who have lost a loved one on the Malaysian flight that went missing on the 8th March 2014. I can’t even begin to imagine the pain and grief they have to endure. What i even more unbearable is the fact that there isn’t a sure answer of what happened to the flight. There is no physical proof. Rest in piece to all those lost.
In other news, the ‘no make up selfie’ campaign seems to be going successfully, however apparently some of those texting to make a donation are texting the word ‘donate’ rather than ‘beat’ and the money is being sent to ‘unicef’ so be careful and make sure you are texting the right thing to make the donation you want. Keep up the no make up selfie craze as it’s proving to be successful so far !!
Here is my no make up selfie, as bad as I look..
I’m no professional stylist or fashion blogger, however I have some ideas on what I think would look good this summer.
The season is approaching fast despite the occasional, random showers of rain (nothing’s changed there, typical London weather), and so we must consider and get into the mind frame of what fashion looks are to come.
I am not just saying this because green is my favorite color, but I honestly believe that green is never out of fashion, as long as it is worn correctly with colors that compliment it. I believe that emerald and sea greens will be of fashion this summer. I am also going to go ahead and say that yellow should be a color to watch, although it is daring and bold, it will be of a positive impact.
Floral patterns are practically always of fashion, however the trend of spring will probably be carried through to the summer season, with small changes to coloring and sizes of shapes. For example, a hot day during this spring, a chic pair of white & floral, three quarter length trousers would look astounding with a simple white t-shirt/vest, and can be carried through to summer by wearing the same patterning but shorts instead (because of the warmer weather of course).
The only reason I’ve mentioned these mystical white floral trousers is because I have found a pair, and plan to wear them soon.. Do you have any ideas on how I could wear them? I will be sure to write a post with some pictures to accompany it in the near future, so keep a look out!
This is my rough idea of what this summers fashion will bring, but only time will tell, and I know I will have more ideas soon…
Morrocan oil is making its way through our shelves, although it usually can only be bought in salons.
I started using Morrocan oil a few months ago, after having a Brazilian hair treatment. They have both been life changers and I can’t live without them.
After going to a hairdresser that got ‘scissor happy’ and cut my hair too short for my liking, I was advised to use Morrocan oil. Not only does it have all sorts of benefits for your hair such as strengthening and fixing broken bits, it helps it grow at a faster rate.
As for the Brazilian blow dry (which I got done at 3 Crystals in Palmers Green) I believe it to be a revolution. I can straighten my hair within 15 minutes (it took me an hour before).
If you have time and some cash to spare, and you have big frizzy hair such as myself, I strongly recommend trying it out!!
Picking up a bunch of flowers from a market stall or a supermarket is an easy task. To the person buying them, it is merely a gesture, it is bringing flowers to someone because you don’t want to go to their house empty handed, it is simply an apologetic symbol for someone in hospital, and finally it is a small token of love.
However, to the person receiving them it is much more. It is a statement of ‘someone is thinking of me’, it is having something to make my house pretty and ‘I certainly will think of you every time I look at them’. To the person receiving a bunch of flowers, it is a symbol of love, care and beauty.
It is a symbol of a love, because it touches your heart, and brightens your day, however one day all good things come to end and we must say goodbye.
It is a symbol of care, because like all living things including relationships, we must take care of them, to ensure they grow and blossom.
It is a symbol of beauty, because although they do not last forever, they were once present, and the memory will live on. Every flower is different, every flower has a meaning, has a duty…
When was the last time you bought flowers for someone?
So have you heard of or been to the pancake stall in Hampstead? ‘La Creperie de Hampstead’ Their pancakes are amazingly delicious..
The stall is located between shops and near the underground station, you may have to keep an eye out for it… Walking around whilst enjoying the pancake is a world of its own.. The atmosphere is calm and sophisticated.. I feel like I’m in a different country..
The pancake man cooks it in front of you and what a good job of it, he does. I have mine with white chocolate and banana. It’s a delicacy for me, because my cousin and I take a 30 minute drive up to the area, and stuff our faces.
Try it out if you’re in the area.. You won’t regret it!!
Here my friends, is the best waffle I have ever eaten!! There goes my diet..
The pub/restaurant is called ‘The Plough’ in Crews Hill London… The atmosphere there is amazing, and they have a heated outdoor area.. It’s perfect for a chilled sit down with friends or family.
Back to the waffle… So sweet and warm. The waffle was as soft as a spongy donut, covered in caramel and a scoop of quality ice cream… Every bite tasted better than the last! If you are local, you better try it!!!
I will be going again .. Let my finished plate tell you the rest..
I just picked up Nivea Express Hydration ‘Primer’…. I’ve been seeking a decent face cream for some time now, so I’m going to see how this goes.. It cost £3.99 from my local pharmacist… Has anyone ever used it?
The packaging states that you can use it as a general facial moisturiser, and you can also apply it before putting on make up as a ‘smooth base’ which is a plus!!
Let’s see how good it really is..
